I think of wisdom as a finer point of intelligence, like knowing what to do with what you know. You know the saying:
Intelligence recognizes that tomatoes are a fruit.
Wisdom understands not to put them in a fruit salad.

(Partly, I was playing devil's advocate with my answer. I read four other posts on this link, and they all flatly said wisdom. They also all flatly said "unicorn" which I think is beautiful but "improve the world"?) But, he had servants to handle day-to-day requirements like shopping and cooking, so it's not like needed to know how to follow a recipe or the difference between using soy sauce and hoi sin sauce. But as this was back when people were more or less uneducated (hundreds of years ago), they weren't making good guesses as to how these critters looked.

My theory (unsupported by facts) is that dragons were actually dinosaurs mislabeled.Liz A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16531953467834426316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8036550554413060199.post-70676851255063541042018-10-11T19:24:13.432+07:002018-10-11T19:24:13.432+07:00This was fun to read. I always think of wisdom not in street smarts, but more in I Kings, where Solomon asks for wisdom, a discerning heart and mind. That's so useful in navigating God's world and our relationships. :-)

Cranberry Morninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10758563068581561194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8036550554413060199.post-89725098350673704982018-10-11T18:10:05.362+07:002018-10-11T18:10:05.362+07:00Red,

I always enjoyed Joyce's Wednesday Hodgepodge A&A but she recently retired her weekly segment. #5 is interesting. Wisdom comes from things that you learn first hand or through observation, intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply what one learns. In essence wisdom and intelligence is very much the same. The main difference being that wisdom requires experience which comes with time. :) Thanks for dropping by for a visit.
