We moved half our stuff on Wednesday, which turned out to be more than half, since I'm almost done re-packing the suitcases we emptied, and we didn't re-fill all the bags, so YAY!
I actually have a post half-written about something else, but moving took over my time. Here's why...
I like that the art connects the kitchen and living room colors. |

Left is the hall, right is Brett's office. They share a LARGE balcony. |

hi. lovely stairs! and the large balcony. Sigh. I wish I had a two storey house!! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived State-side, we had a 1,000sq.ft. apartment. Our next apartment in Beijing was tiny. Our first apartment here in Vietnam was even smaller. This place is about 1,500 sq.ft., not counting the 3rd floor (storage) which is laundry and yoga space. SO MUCH cleaning!
Deletemy apt is just under 1000 square feet i think. It's quite big really, I just wish I had an upstairs!
DeleteI had told my husband that I didn't want to live anywhere larger than 1000, because that was enough cleaning. I can already tell I'm never going to stay on top of it here.
DeleteIt's just brilliant that right after "Here's why..." you have a picture of those stairs. I thought, well, of course, you're saving your strength for the stuff you've gotta schlep up to the second floor.
ReplyDeleteHave a sparkly fun time moving in!
Not joking, stairs are a lot of cleaning. I've almost injured myself twice. That black on black is difficult!
DeleteCongrats on the new place. I hope the move goes smoothly.
ReplyDeleteWe're relieved to be able to take our time with this one. No rush. Each day we get a new item and I clean a new thing.
DeleteThis looks like an awesome place. Glad to see you have a large guest room!!
ReplyDeleteFunny story. When we live State-side, we kind of set a rule to never have overnight guests (our two young nieces excepted). But now, if anyone comes our way, it is probably definitely longer than a day-trip, and with the huge expense of getting here, asking our visitors to pay for a hotel seems kind of obnoxious.
DeletePlus, now we have space!
I love your new place - so open and bright and light! I want to come and visit because it looks so inviting - and anyone with sparkly stairs gets extra brownie points from me :)
ReplyDeleteIf you ever find yourself in Vietnam, let me know! Hoi an is on the central coast, not Hanoi, not Saigon. If you trek the country, you'll pass me.
