MIssing Activity

A couple of weeks ago, I said we were going to watch the Dragon Bridge show. And we didn't because of rain. So we were going to go tonight. And it's raining again. We're not in a rush. They do it every Saturday and Sunday, and we live here now so we can go anytime the weather is clear.

But since I said so, here are some pictures. Since I can't get aerial pictures, and I haven't seen the dragon shoot fire myself, these are both taken from online at vietnam-guide.com.

The Dragon Bridge, lit up, before dark.

See the fire coming from the mouth? It follows with water, I'm told.

I will still post pictures after I see it myself, from whatever vantage point we select, but I hate for you to miss it.

This week I was a bit under the weather, so I didn't do much, but today we went to look at a new place to live. This was a house, not an apartment. It had nice space, but we have a month to look and would like someplace cheaper. Monday we get to go look at two more places. One is just a block or two south of where we now live. It would be convenient to live near all the things we already know. Of course, it would be cheaper to live further away from the beach.

I have read blogs of 3 other people who are also moving this summer. Are you another? Are you moving near or far? Do you do it often?

  1. Those photos are beautiful! Hope you get to experience it soon...

Good luck on hunting for a new place. The only move in our future is all the totes in the attached garage will hopefully be moved to hubby's new HUGE garage that is being built.

    1. I'll get to see the bridge in action, but not in the rain... although maybe we should see it in the rain too. Variety is good!

I know you moved often enough, that it must be nice to have moving limited to just storage totes!

  2. Good luck on finding a new place. Moving is such a hassle. But it'll be nice for you to be settled in a more permanent location, I'm sure.

    1. We are giving ourselves time. We still have a month on this lease. Today we met with an agent who seems to understand what we are looking for, and who actually communicates!

  3. Moving is in my future but not this summer. I would pay the extra and stay near the beach if I were you!!

    1. We will probably eventually get closer to the beach again, but for now we need our money to go toward getting ourselves more space so we can better dedicate ourselves to our work. Which, in turn, will give us the money needed to get back to the beach. For now, we're just kind of stuck with how things are.

    2. The way Da Nang is laid out, if we move slightly inland, I can get a bike and still be at the beach in 5 minutes. I'm not too worried!

I enjoy a good debate. Feel free to shake things up. Tell me I'm wrong. Ask me why I have such a weird opinion. ...or, just laugh and tell how this relates to you and your life.
